Since then I’ve lost 10kg from the belly and my resting heart rate has reduced due to the training (and I’m now over 50 years old!). The instructors at Primal are genuinely interested in helping you, and they don’t have attitude. The training is structured so that you’re challenged, but in a safe environment, and the instructors build this over time. The training is very practical, with a focus on what’s likely to actually work in the real world (not just ‘dojo techniques’).”

As someone with experience in other styles it’s great to learn and adapt to things more suited to staying safe rather than just winning matches or keeping traditions. Not your poorly constructed ‘American cardio-krav’ but some real solid training. Having an instructor that goes out of their way to continually learn new things and say “I have found something better than what we did before we are doing this now” is the best sign of a non-complacent training environment.”
